I've done two rides on my bike trainer and I must admit that while audiobooks worked well for the stationary bike at the gym where I had plenty of people and action to keep my eyes busy, I rely on movies here at home; where without a movie, I'd be starting at the wall the whole time. I think we can all figure out what would get accomplished with that! So I've spent those two trainer rides watching Gulliver's Travels and How to Train Your Dragon.

In about a half hour, I'm going to hop on the trainer and get a ride in while watching Tropic Thunder. I've heard a lot of great reviews of this movie, but never got around to watching it.

Thank you!
EDIT: I only made it through 40 minutes of Tropic Thunder. The neighbor downstairs apparently gets up at 3AM and doesn't like me making noise at 8PM. I'll finish up tomorrow.
Questions
1. What do you do while on your bike trainer or treadmill?2. If you have a bike trainer, please let me know what kind and what you like & dislike about it.
I'd like to add this info to the review I'm writing for my own trainer. Thanks!

Lets see, this might sounds crazy but I like to watch the National Treasure movies on my long runs on the treadmill. Cinderella Man is another good one although I'm sure you've probably seen it and of course Rocky Balboa. Get Him to The Greek was pretty good if you like a comedy.
One word.
Hulu.
Just this past winter, I started watching movies while I run on the treadmill, especially when I have to do a long run. Although I like to watch movies that I don't have to listen to (music)... so they are my go-to-girlie movies like "How to lose a guy in 10 days" and "sex & the city". Doubt you'll be popping those in anytime soon!! haha!
Have you seen "The Hangover"? Hilarious! You may also like "Run Fatboy Run." I also saw "The King's Speech" and loved it, although it may be too much of a "dramatic" movie for you, there are some funny parts.
I found a website featuring triathlons in CT, including a few indoor tris: http://www.trifind.com/ct.html
The Fighter!
The Rundown, Despicable Me, Super Troopers, Some Like It Hot, Airplane 1 and 2, Spaceballs (or any Mel Brooks movie), Mr. Bean Takes a Vacation, Rat Race..... That's a good variety of classic to witty to stupid to physical comedies. You're welcome ;)
Have to double recommend The King's Speech! So great! I tend to be a drama movie person myself. Haven't seen the new Little Fockers movie, but we just put it on the netflix list!
I also need a good indoor trainer recommendation. What do you have?
I'm looking at a trainer also.
i want an inexpensive one that I can put mt mtb on. Any suggestions? I love your blog Kurt!
I DVR all the shows my hubby won't watch with me and watch them on the treadmill! Favorite movie that I can watch over and over (and I do!) is The Hurt Locker. Love it!
Fighter is a GREAT movie!
We started the series "House" and would watch two episodes while we biked. It worked for a while, until they ended up being the same story line each week. Series shows are great though.
I have a Cycle-Ops Mag Trainer and I love it. Fairly basic as far as their line goes, but I only use it from November - April! :)
Last good one I saw was the fighter. Although I don't think that can really be considered new.
Meatballs, Caddyshack, What About Bob, Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, The Princess Bride,50 First Dates, Stripes. (I feel like it is a Bill Murray kind of day.)
