Sweat it Out! (& a Raffle)

Sweat it out!

It's a great rule!  Plus, it allows you to avoid rest days that you don't really want to take and still get out from under the oppression of an illness!  haha  (...as long as you don't end up making it worse)

I woke up with a sore throat on Sunday & took Monday off as a rest to try and let myself heal.  Well, that didn't work.  So Tuesday I hopped on the bike and rode an easy 30 minutes.  Felt great!  Then yesterday I went for a short run.  The warm air of my apartment was better than the cold air outdoors, but I still felt better.  Then last night I did a Cross Fit workout and felt amazing!

So to heck with "rest days."  I'll just pump the liquids and keep sweating it out!  As my swim coach would have said...

"Oh, you're not feeling well?
You know what's good for that?
SPRINTING!!"

Oh!  I almost forgot.  I'm going to have a raffle/giveaway/contest soon.

Keep checking back this week for details!
Or follow on Twitter or Facebook to find out before everyone else!

Questions
1.   How has your week been going so far?
Has anyone been logging a lot of miles this week?

2. What do you do when you get sick?
Do you rest up and halt training?  Do you back off a bit and chug liquids?  Or do you train right through it knowing 'If I can finish an Ironman, I can train through any illness'?

Swim fast.  Bike smart.  Run hard.

I'll always try and punish myself when I'm sick with a hard workout. Guess trying to see how strong I can be till I pass out :) ??
