Our "Classic" Movies

Have you ever watched an older movie, maybe from your childhood, that you thought was just THE best thing made from film and find you really don't remember much of it?

We all remember the big scenes, right?  The big fight scene or the romantic runaway.  The car chase or the part where the comic relief character makes a great joke.  But you forget a lot of the smaller details.

While I was packing for my trip down to NC, I put the original Back From The Future on.

I found out that I remember a LOT from the middle of the movie, but the entire beginning was like watching it for the first time.  And might I say, Claudia Wells who plays Jennifer, Marty's girlfriend, still looks great!

"Doc, I can't be stuck here.  I got a life.  I got a girl."
"Is she pretty?"
"She's beautiful."

Does anyone remember Michael J. Fox's voice being so high?  I thought something was wrong with the audio at first but no.  He's just a little squeaky!

So tonight, I just took out a homemade Buffalo Sauce and Eggplant pizza from the oven and despite my overwhelming list of theatrical movies to watch, I will probably watch the 1994 Gatorade Ironman World Championship.

Questions
1.  What's your favorite movie from your childhood?  Can you remember a quote from it?  (no cheating!)
My friends and I would quote Monty Python and the Holy Grail non-stop in middle and high school.  One of my favorite lines is "Well... If we build a large wooden badger..."

2.  Have you ever watched a movie from "back in the day" and were surprised that you didn't remember whole sections of it?

Hey, I'm your newest follower! It looks like you've got a lot going on here.

I would have to say, "Cool Runnings!" That was such an awesome movie.

Good luck to you as you train for Iron in 2012.
